Divisoria wedding suppliers
Divisoria in Manila, Philippines is the ultimate refuge for the harassed bride on a budget. Even if it is unconsidered “unglamorous,” the truth of the matter is that even the most famous designers and couturiers go here for their raw materials and other supplies.
A walk down Divi will easily cut your wedding expenses in half. What you can find here: souvenirs, wedding giveaways, wedding accessories like necklaces, and of course ready-made wedding dresses for as low as 2K (about $40) , bridal entourage gowns for as low as 800 pesos (about $18) – all of them come in different sizes already. If you have your own style, the Divisoria tailors will customize the gowns for you, just be sure to give them the magazine clipping or photocopy of the image.
This is what I did when I had my daughters’ flower girls’ gowns done by a shop in Yangco Building, a place dedicated to wedding dresses and supplies in Divisoria. I just printed the picture I saw on the internet. I was happy with the outcome, although I remember being worried because the shop was so delayed in their promise to deliver. So one tip when you avail of the made-to-order services of the Divisoria shops: allow for lead time in delivery because they might be attending to a lot of clients. Anyway, I was really happy with how my daughters’ gown turned out. They certainly looked lovely, don’t you think?
You will just have to arm yourself with patience and persistence when you go to Divisoria. The Yangco Building (or Yangco Market) in Ilaya Street seems to be a popular destination. The buiding seems to be dominated by the gown-makers of Pandi, Bulacan. They offer gowns and dresses for all members of the wedding entourage, including Barong Tagalog for the males. The clothes can be made from native materials like jusi, santana, and pina.
I kept two business cards of the suppliers, and you may call them for reference. Be sure to canvass for the best (nay cheapest) suppliers

MA-HIGH-BLOOD ka sa mga staff at sa owner mismo. suplada!!!! akala mo di babayaran! plastik pa. minsan try nyo mag inquire, eentertain ka sa una, pero kapag may contract na kayo, di nila susundin lahat yung mga (preference)gusto mo.
tapos lahat ata ng nagpapatahi dyan, pinagchichismisan nila. nag stay ako dyan minsan, hinihintay ko yung gown ko. aba! kwentuhan to the max ang mga tao dyan, mataba daw yung client nila, sabi pa nung owner “ang lakas ng loob mag tube, ang taba!!!!” see? binabastos yung client lalot nakalabas na sa shop.
HIGIT SA LAHAT NG AYAW KO DYAN KKA LOUIE TENG NA YAN SA TUTUBAN CENTER……. di marunong sumunod sa napag usapang TARGET DATE. sabi ko kukunin yung gown ng thursday..ibinigay nya FRIDAY NA!!!
aba…kung gusto nyo maexperience yung nangyare sakin…gusto nyo ma highblood at madelayed, dun ka na patahi… nakaka inis. balita ko, di lang ako nabwisit dyan!…. meron pa nga minura sila dahil sa uprofessional nilang ugali at mga delay na gown delivery!!!!!!

I think if you will consider Divisoria for your wedding materials and gown, most especially, the number one thing you should have is PATIENCE. They are not professionals so do not expect professionalism. You get what you pay for.
If you want to work with professionals, the number one that you need is MONEY. Patience is not necessary.
So wag mag init ang ulo mo because you should know what you have gotten into at the beginning.
Despite the inconveniences and unprofessionalism, these stores still get a lot of clients because of budget and not the service so trade off lang yan, okay.

Hi there!! in my case not all suppliers from divisoria ay palpak.. well, maybe most of them.. so dapat don’t give your full trust agad agad.. January of 2011 nagpatahi ako sa isang patahian… Sa festival Mall un, Sunrise bridal boutique.. magaling makipag usap sa una tapos ttarayan ka na pag may pinatahi kana sa kanila.. And worst, ginawa nyang mukang kurtina ang wedding gown na gusto ko… They would tell you that they can make any designs but you’ll know if they’re saying the truth pag nakita mo ung tahi… Sobrang disappointed ako nun almost crying na nga kasi my wedding will be on March 25,2011… Buti nalang nameet ko c Ate Vangie Suva… She’s my gown savior… I cancelled my 1st supplier (well, aminado naman silang pangit ung tahi nila) and at that day too nagpasukat ako ng bago kay ate Vangie… At first, mukang maliit lang ang shop nya but it’s not the place but the people working there…ok cla lalo na c ate Vangie… I had my gown within 3 weeks and I am so contented with it.. ( At last, nakatulog ako) I am on my way pero di halata sa gown ko… why i know? xempre, sinukat ko…^^ And i am so excited that people would see me wearing that gown too… Ang payment, I can say… SULIT…try her.. here’s her number…09063326338… I want to help all those Bride who’s looking for affordable yet elegant looking wedding gown… Afterall, once in a lifetime lang ang kasal…

Hello! doon ako nag pagawa ng damit ko sa Loui and Teng and mababait naman yung naka usap kong mga staff nila nice nga sila eh!. Si miss Mylene yung kausap ko doon shes nice nga eh. Next year pa ang wedding ko but nagpatahi na ako nung umuwi ako nung April. Depende rin siguro minsan sa approached ng mga client sa knila diba? Well we need to be nice din sa knila siguro. Saka nung pumunta ako doon April 18 and 2k lang ang binigay kong down payment but actually nag re require sila ng 50% down payment to thing na 18k ang price nung damit ko ok lang sa knya sabe ko pa nga babalik ako sa April 30 kase gusto kong isukat kahit yung inner layer lang ng gown kase babalik na ako ng May 7 sa Dubai. Kaya nung bumalik ako ng 30 binigay ko na yung full 50% na requirement nila. Siguro, we need to be nice din sa mga staff diba? minsan kase hindi na tama yung katwiran naten na customer is always right eh! depende siguro sa klase ng customer. Kaya we need to be nice din sa knila. Opinion ko lang po.

*Although I’ve had a bad experience *(i left my umbrella to their care while strolling around the mall while their doing the finishing touches of my dress. it was raining so hard outside. When I came back the umbrella is gone. And their attendants are responsible for it cause they promise to keep it safe. Me and my mom went home feeling like a wet chick.)* while I was on Louie Teng’s store, It won’t change the fact that they make pretty good stuffs.
Just make sure you don’t leave your belongings. You won’t know if its the staffs or other customers who will scavenge your stuffs!

Na-try ko magpa-gawa ng wedding gown and gowns for the bridesmaids & maid-of-honor ko kay Ate Vangie Suva and super happy ako sa product nya… Nasunod ang gusto ko at wala akong masabi pagdating sa personality nya dahil pasensyoso sya at very accomodating… Hindi siya tulad ng ibang supplier na nababanggit na sa simula lang mabait kausap tapos kapag may contract ka na sa kanila, wala nang pakialam sa gusto mo… HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
