The Wedding Fact Sheet

In case you’re wondering, that’s the picture of the Tiffany box cake and cupcake tower made by premier baker Joy San Gabriel for our wedding.

Needless to say, am happy to have contracted her services during our special day, even though I didn’t really have the time to canvass other suppliers. The trick is to canvas the best the first time!

For as long as her schedule allows, it’s really no fuss booking her. She promptly answers emails and all it takes to finalize everything is to visit her bakeshop in Galas, Quezon City. Ms. San Gabriel’s family owns the building and her baking workshop is on the top floor which engulfs you with a nice baking smell once you enter.

Ms. San Gabriel patiently explains everything so you’ll have an idea, even if you’re a non-expert on confectioneries. The best part is when she takes out the cake samples for tasting. I swear you’ll like all of them.

This bride chose a a six-inch fondant with carrot cake filling. I was just particular on the fact that our desired Tiffany box with bow be followed.

Since our wedding cake was just a small one, thank God for the modern-day blessing of the “cupcake tower.” It was here where I had fun as I chose a hundred mini-cakes of different flavors to fill the tower. The blueberry cheesecake (P122 each) is highly recommended, and I also ordered Kilaueia (chocolate) and choco caramel cake.

Ms. San Gabriel also has other flavors for her mini-cakes, and these comprise her signature desserts. The list consists of amaretto (flourless), cappuccino, dulce, fresh fruit cheesecake, moist chocolate, nutty caramel chocolate cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake, prune chocolate, strawberry shortcake, strawberry cheesecake, strawberry swirl cheesecake and turtle pie. Prices range from P105 to P139.

Of course, this female baker also does cakes for other occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and the like. I was glad to learn that she was on call, even for brownies and cookies.

Joy San Gabriel accepts payments on COD basis only (cash on delivery). They deliver for free for a minimum order of P10,000 within Metro Manila. Lead time for orders is two working days
